The grey stripe across the bottom on the presentation is caused by the Windows Task Bar on the host computer when the host is application sharing and the Lock the Taskbar option is selected for the task bar.
To correct the issue, simply right-click on the taskbar in an empty area and un-check the Lock Taskbar option from the menu.
