When a host clicks a guest name in their Participant List, he/she should have 7 options available to them. However, certain conditions can affect the availability of these options. Please consult the

Allow to Speak | - The guest has not clicked the Add Voice button on the Voice Options dialog.
- Meeting is not configured to use Voice Services.
- Guest does not meet the Advanced Features requirements.

Open Mic | - The guest has not clicked the Add Voice button on the Voice Options dialog.

Grant Control | - The host is not presenting (Guest cannot control a screen/computer they can't see).
- The guest already has remote control.
- Guest does not meet the Advanced Features requirements.
| - The host should click the Start Presenting Now button or un-pause the presentation and try the option again.
- Have the guest attempt to move the mouse, etc. to make sure they are in control. Also try Revoking Control from the guest and then give them control again.

Make Presenter | - The guest is already the Presenter.
- Guest does not meet the Advanced Features requirements.
| - Try selecting Stop Presenting if the option is available for the guest and then select Make Presenter again for the guest.

Start Remote Support | - The host is already providing remote support to the guest.
- Guest does not meet the Advanced Features requirements.
| - Click the View Presentation button on GP4 to re-open the viewer window on the host side to see the guest's screen.

Grant Moderator Rights | - The guest already has moderator rights.

The following causes and corrective actions apply to many of the guest issues.

The guest has an older version of Java installed (version 1.3 or greater is required). | Install the latest version of Java on the guest computer. It is available for free from our website here. |
The guest did not accept/allow/trust the applet security warning when they joined the meeting. | Have the guest leave the meeting, re-join and select allow/trust on the dialog when prompted. |
Java is not installed or enabled on the guest's computer. | Have the guest download Java from our website at: http://www.gatherplace.com/java OR Have the guest enable Java in their browser. See this article for details. |
The guest is running an unsupported operating system or web browser. | Have the guest join the meeting from a computer that meets the minimum system requirements. The system requirements can be found here. |
The Guest joined using the SureView option (or they clicked the Having Trouble link to join the meeting). | Have the guest leave the meeting and re-join using Java OR have the guest download the free Guest version of the GP4 software here and join the meeting using GP4. |
