To download a GatherPlace recording, the recording must first be converted to the Flash format so it can be downloaded.
Please note that the amount of time for the conversion process depends on the length of the recording and how many recordings are in the queue to be converted but typically most recordings are converted
within minutes of the request*.
The steps below show how to request a recording to be converted and then downloaded to your computer.
- Go to the GatherPlace web site and click on the My Account tab.
- Click on the My Recordings graphic.
- Select one or more recordings to be converted and click the Request Download button.
- There will be a confirmation prompt asking to convert the recordings.
Click the OK button to start the conversion process.
- The Download column will display 'Dispatched' to signify that the recording has been scheduled for conversion.
Depending on the number of recordings currently in the conversion queue and the length of the recording, it may take some time before the conversion is complete but most recordings are converted within the first few minutes after the request is made*.
- In order to check the status of the conversion, click the Refresh button at the bottom of the recordings page.
You may need to do this several times until the process is completed*.
- Once the conversion of the recording is complete, the Download column will display 'Download Now'.
- Click the Download Now link. This will open a dialog asking what you would like to do with the recording.
- Select the Save File option and click the OK button. This will open the Save File dialog for the web browser.
- Use the Save File dialog to navigate to the location you wish to save the recording to and click the Save button.
* If your recording is taking a long time (several hours) once it enters the 'Converting' state, please let us know by emailing support@gatherplace.com and include the access code of the meeting that was recorded.
